this is a Custom 1100 VStar

first I  shot 2K etching primer

 - then I embedded exhaust manifolds into the tank- with an overspray of Midnight Onyx black

then over a brushed metal pattern a gradient of transparent White - Pearlized Silver - Metallic Silver  and Bada Bling Silver  -

Tail markings and patterns are consistent with the world famous "Yellow Jackets" 361st Fighter Group - 375th Fighter Squadron

the neck covers and side panels are painted to match

then the whole thing is overshot with 15 coats of a 3 part Polyurethane clear coat

May 1945  8^th  Victory in Europe Day. The 361^st Fighter Group was stood down, having flown a total of 441 combat missions in fifteen months of operations from air bases in England, France and Belgium. The Group�s pilots claimed a total of 226 enemy aircraft destroyed in the air and a further 105 on the ground, with the loss of 81 aircraft.
